Why do i get jealous when my guy friend writes the other girls on facebook??

So i have this guy friend abd he never had a girlfriend.he really wanted to go out with me but i didnt and he got very rude and upset with me after that.i always go on his profile pictures and there's this girl and she has all the guys as friends on facebook and she has him too and he likes her picture and he always writes to her on facebook.now i really regret that why i even bother having contact with him.
