Question about facebook?

So I was looking for freebies online and there was one from covergirl. In order to participate in that freebie I had to get a FB account like covergirl then post a comment. So I did all of that (I'm not into social networking so I don't know anything about FB). My comment was easy breezy beautiful covergirrrrlllllllllll. A few days later covergirl liked it. Lol I don't want to come off as ooooooh I'm so special covergirl liked my comment. I just want to know if that is common (when a high profile cosmetic line likes your stupid comment )

There's really no such thing as free with major companies its never happened to me though so you never know
