It isn't that WWE is the only people taking on the social trend. 1 out of 3 commercials now a days often mention in the end to like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. Internet is taking over as the new media and attraction, and though WWE shoves it to our faces, they are just following the trend. Long ago, it was a word of mouth to get people into WWE. Just go look at your Twitter and Facebook, you will see annoying ads from your friends which they followed. Easy and pretty much free advertisement if you asked me.

I too don't like WWE mentioning Tweeter,Facebook,You Tube and all the Social Media Stuffs on the WWE shows.It's kind of annoying to me when they always say this/that is trending on Tweeter and if that wasn't enough now they have got another Tout thing going on.The Social Media things is actual really pathetic to me.I really don't like the Social Media stuffs coming up and how they show the Tweeter Addresses of the Superstars but we can't do much about it.

The WWE is moving towards mainstream audience now and their main aim is to attract more audience and for doing that Internet is the Best Way.Nowadays every Company is using the Internet to advertise their stuffs and this is what the WWE is doing.They are advertising their Product among the people so that they themselves can be benefited.

As the former General Manager Mr.John Laurnaitus said that now it was a "New" Era which was dubbed as "People Power" but the Internet Fans called it the "Reality Era".And this started WWE's use of more Social Media as they now want to tell everything to the World 24/7 and they are doing it by the Internet and Social Media like Tweeter,Facebook and Tout.This is the "Reality" Phase of the WWE.I myself don't like it but we can't do anything but just get it shoved down our throats.

Anytime WWE invests millions of dollars in something, they shove it down Wrestling Fans throats. Over the last 20 years, The WWF/WWE has given us: 1) The World Body Building Federation; 2) Ico Pro Supplements; 3) A WWF Theme Restaurant in New York City; 4) A WWF Theme Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas; 5) The XFL; and now 6) Tout. WWE invested several million dollars in Tout, thinking it will be the next big trend in Social Media.

I absolutly hate it! I would rather see Cena than what's trending. I bet soon after every match they are going to Tout for fan reactions too the match. Tout is just a way for WWE fans to get on tv and embarrass themselves. Vince ruined wrestling. Now all we get is two minute matches and five minutes of social media. They could use the new 3 hour Raw to make matches longer and improve storylines but it's just a way to give social media more exposure.
