Can a Facebook friend see if I "Get Notifications" of their posts?

On First Last's profile, I can click "Get Notifications" under the menu where it says "Friends (check mark)". Are they able to see when I do that? Thanks!
Am I then considered a follower? I didn't think so because I'm already a friend.

No they don't.

They won't be able to directly but if they go into their profile, security (or something like that), and they will be able to see something called followers and it will show that.
