How do I convince my mom to let me have a twitter account?

All of my friends have twitter accounts and I really want one. The only problem is my mom. She will not let me have a twitter account. I tried telling her that all of my friends have twitter account but she said that she doesn't care about my friends she only cares about me. How do I convince my mom to let me have a twitter account?

Tell her it will help you get friends. All you do is tweet stuff you like.

Try telling her it's more safe then both FB and myspace, also tell her it's a sight to follow bands and famous people she may fall for it!
