How do I get followers on twitter?

Follow some of your friends first then go on to celebrities and there you go sooner or later you will have followers.

The best way to get followers on Twitter is to promote others. Here's how to do it. Using hashtags, find someone that you can relate to. View their profile and go to their website, read some of their posts and then Tweet something about them. For instance: "Read a great post about how to wash your dog by @personsNameHere at http://addressOfTheirSite"
This will get their attention and they will probably TFM you (Thanks For the Mention) and follow you.

Follow people that have usernames like FOLLOW BACK or TC_FOLLOW_BACK and retweet some of their tweets and u will gain followers probably 10-20 if u follow the people that retweet the same tweet you did also chances are they will follow u back
