"Get Notifications" of someone in Facebook?

Hi
Does Facebook notify my friends when i choose to "Get Notifications" on their profile or not?
Like alerting/messaging them, or showing something that they notice I've chosen that option on their profiles?
And what else will i be having on my news feed when i choose to "Get Notifications" of them?

Hello! No, it does not tell them that you have chose to get notifications. It's all private. When you choose this it will send you all their status updates and tell you when they add a photo or change their profile/cover photo. It's a really handy thing and its all secure within your Facebook!
