Why should I get twitter?
Hi, sorry to bother you but I was wondering what the perks of having twitter are? I have facebook and they seem similar. Thanks!

It's something to do to pass time when your bored. The posts on twitter are more personal than the posts I see on Facebook. I like twitter better, personally. Thank you Smile

Also if you have a minute answer mine please! Smile

Its actually pretty cool. If you're a fan girl I probably will recommend twitter, its fun to meet people in your fanbase. But if you just like to talk with friends and family facebook should be it. I have both and prefer tumblr (x

I have an account but to be honest, I'd only get one if your gonna use it. Compared to Facebook its new and fresh-faced, but you cant do as much apart from use the hash tag and "mention" other people as well as obviously send, reply and favourite tweets. Favourite is just the same as liking by the way, and because of the 140 character limit, you have to keep it short and sweet.

Because of this, the tweets can often become confusing, especially when replying to someone, because your tweet will also contain their tweet too sometimes. The general audience are of all ages including teens, and younger people who take advantage of the #hashtag feature accompanying it with a short but often witty or sarcastic tweet about something that just happened (basically a shorter Facebook status).

It can be good but is probably better if you know people who are on it so you can follow. It's very confusing for new comers and everyone of my friends find it difficult at first and some don't bother anymore.

But considering Facebook is considered to be dyeing, I would give it a go.
