I started a giveaway but nobody entered?

I started a giveaway and nobody entered, so obviously I feel like an idiot. I mean, I worked hard to make it good.
Help me please?
I did it on my page, and it has a few thousand likes, and I know people knew about it

You are going to have to make them believe that it is real. Most giveaways are fake and if you want people to believe it, come up with an idea to make people believe it. You can do it!

Maybe you didn't promote it enough. It doesn't matter how hard you worked - if nobody knew about it, then nobody will enter. Sorry.

Today, nobody gives anything away for free and if it is advertised that someone is giving something away, there is usually fine print which means that people will have to give something in return, something they don't want to give away. The world is full of scams and this may be perceived as one of them. Just let your people know that you haven't been hacked and that the giveaway is not spam or a scam. You may get some takers. Just issue a message of assurance to the people your trying to reach and keep pushing to get people involved. Persistence pays off.

Promote it on twitter with some relevant/trending/popular hashtags (#) and that should help boost the entries more than facebook.
