in my resume, how would I add the skill of being proficient in social media?

Im in my last year of college being a Communications student. Since I am very familiar with social media and it would be relavent to my degree, how would I add this as a skill into my resume?

It would depend on what you mean. Do you mean that you know how to use Facebook? That would not really set you apart from most other young people, so in that case, leave it out. But if you mean that you have set up a website, or was a moderator, or anything else that the hiring manager might like, yes, you should mention that.

I would probably look up a couple of resumes online (using "communications" as a keyword) and see how other folks present their skills.
