How do you get more Instagram followers?

I have about 300+ followers, but I need more. I'm kinda desperate, because me and my friend are in a "competition" to see who can get more followers in a week lol. It just started yesterday, and she already has about 500+ followers. I don't even know how she did it. I'm not looking for any website that makes you buy followers, because I'm desperate but not that desperate. Any suggestions?

Don't put hash tags on your pics. Go into the hash tag teamfollowback spamforspam and follow these people. Don't actually use hash tags lol. Or ask people on omegal

The best way to get more followers is to post lots of pictures with lots of "#" hashtags because thats how people usually find other people's photos and if you want people to follow you you need to spice up your bio and make your self look interesting and add emijo's to get people's eye and not too many, take cool pictures of like flowers or sunny days, sunsets people always look at that stuff
