How do I convince my parents to let me have a Facebook?

My parents are very over protective. They said i could have a facebook when i turned 13 and here i am almost 14 and still no facebook. My moms fine with it but my dad HATES IT WITH A PASSION. he says that they chance their privacy thing and take you off of privet. Its so annoying please help me.

My best advice is for you to go to them and ask if they can help you set it up, allow them to make the password but not give it to you. Meaning they would have to log you in every time you wanted to get on, let them know that you do not want to do anything behind their backs so they can read through everything before you get on. This is what I do with my daughter and she is OK with it. I honestly do not read through every message she has with her friends because she has earned my trust, but I do look through her friends list and her home page to make sure there is nothing I think is inappropriate.
