How do I get my facebook to say what town I'm in when I update my status or upload a picture?

Me and my boyfriend have the same phone galaxy s3 and when he updates his status or uploads a picture it has like jon doe new photo near lexington how come my phone doesnt do that

It's probably a matter of your privacy settings. The phone is not allowing location information to pass to Facebook or is not encoding location data onto the photos OR your Facebook privacy settings are blocking the information.
