Does facebook user mean he blocked me?

Basically I was just speaking to someone then he got really angry because I didn't want to do what he told me to do. He said I was really dumb because it took him nearly thirty minutes to say a point and I was like I am not dumb I just wanted to see what more you had to say then he was like no don't try change it up to sound clever,your just dumb..wasting my time. I already know him but he seems like some fraud person now. He was asking for my bank details and stuff and I didn't want to give it to him. I tried to reply by saying I ain't trying to sound clever like I said before I ain't dumb ( there's more to the message I tried to reply with but I cbb to type it lool). So anyway it kept saying that the message could not be delivered. I was messaging him on my phone. I went on my ipod facebook and cannot find him any where and his name is now Facebook User in the chat since the chat is still there. Has he blocked me. I can't find him by typing his name in the search bar, or has he just deleted his account. Someone please tell me what is going on. Thanks in advance .

Now, go to the police with these messages. He tried to defraud you out of money, so he will probably do it to someone else who isn't smart enough NOT to give him their information.

You know him in real life, so you know his name and other information you could give to the police. If they take you seriously, they will be able to trace where these messages came from, so it doesn't matter that the name is only "Facebook User".
