Can I block basically everything posted on my timeline from ONE friend?

On Facebook is it possible to block everything, whether posted by me or a friend, on my timeline from being seen by one of my facebook FRIENDS? I know it's weird to have a Friend that you don't want to see or know anything about me, but for courtesy's sake I need to friend this person but I still don't want them to see my stuff. Without blocking them is this possible?

no, you can only block your own posts from that friend by adding him to your restricted list

but that will not prevent him from seeing things that other people post on your timeline

only preventing other people from posting on your timeline in the first place can prevent that

If you put that one person (say A) on your Restricted List (that is under FRIENDS on your Newsfeed), A will only see your public posts & your comments/likes on public post (posting of others with globe icon).

So do act or adjust accordingly.
Example:
The question is, do you make all your post or your status update audience to Public? If that is the case, then change that to Friends. You might, once in a while make your post Public for A consumption.
