How to stop a deleted Facebook status' from still appearing on newsfeed?

I made a status that I deleted maybe 10 minutes after creating (only because it was a bit negative, and I only want to post positive content), and I realise that it may still appear on the news feed on mobile. I know this because I have a friend who posted a status, deleted it, and it still appeared on my FB mobile app. How do I prevent this from occurring? Thanks.

Try to sign out then delete the cookies after this sign in again.

It's probably just a glitch between the mobile version of Facebook and the regular online version. If you properly deleted the post, it shouldn't keep showing up.
