Good birds as pets? 10 points?
OK so i was "zoo keeper for a day" and saw many interesting birds. i Have money, time and resources for a bird. I have experience and saw some laughing kookaburras. they were very social and friendly. Good non parrot birds or parrots as pets?my price range is 600 just for the bird not including supplies and i want a medium to large bird

Quaker parrots are small and very affectionate, but make sure you have time to devote as birds can be demanding.

Lovebirds are my favorite. The are love-able and silly. They don't have a good potential to talk though. once they get used to you (tame) they will be your best friend. They love to be out of their cage. The require lots of attention and love. They are fun to breed to. There are so many different colors to choose from. I hope this helps. =]

Maybe an amazon parrot? They are so intelligent, friendly, and can talk and sing! They may go maybe 200 dollars out of your price range, but its worth it. Be sure to research before you buy!
