My facebook messages won't send or recieve?

I keep trying to send messages to my friend, but they won't send or recieve. It just comes up with a red triangle saying Failure to Recieve. I have reset my password, closed the browser and restarted my computer. I have also cleared the cookies and browsing data. My internet connection is perfectly normal and everything else about facebook works eg. wall posts. Please help!

Try logging out & log in again. Or maybe its bad reception?
