If you go to your privacy settings it should give you an option on who you want to share it with

you can either use your privacy settings or, accept the request but delete it from your timeline so it says on your information
in relationship with......
but it doesnt appear on your timeline or anyones news feed

after you change your privacy settings to where only your boyfriend sees it, you can also rest assure no one will see it as it circulates through newsfeed...if you ever change your mind
