How can your stop your status from appearing on everyone's newsfeed?

I want to post a public status on my Facebook but I don't want it showing up on the newsfeed as soon as I post it. I just want people to view it when they are on my profile, and also for the public to read who I'm not friends with.

Should I post the status so that "only me" can view it, then wait until my status moves down the newsfeed, then change it to "public"?

if u post as "only me" only you will be able to see the post,u can't set any timing for the post to be published so it will come on news feed as soon as you post,u can limit the viewers by selecting friends or any group of people u want the post to see,u can specify it to be viewed by only selected people by selecting the custom option,on custom option you can even block certain people from seeing the post. hope this helps
