How to take up a friend's facebook page?

I have a facebook page which is on the same thing which facebook page my friend has. He said he wanted to discontinue and he's ready to make me the admin of it. I want to merge my page with my friend's facebook page. How do I do it? How to I merge two facebook pages in different accounts into one account?
Another Question-
Should I do this? I have 100 likes on my page with 36 number of people talking about it. His page has 1,000 likes but only 10 number of people talking about it.
