Whats the best ways to find clients for my business?
I run a marketing business specialising in setting up internet marketing campaigns for local businesses - SEO , social media marketing and mobile marketing.
I have a few clients but those were recommended to me by my friends. I need to find more clients. can you a few suggestions? Ads |

Register your site to website registration sites such as yellow pages and even to search engines. This way, people will recognize your site and visitors will come to check what you can offer.

Organic traffic and links are basically what you are looking for. Networking is important. Sites like linkedin and obviously Facebook can help get the word out. Figure out exactly what you want to focus on and throw your weight behind those keywords.
I agree wickedfire is pretty informative. And if you want to automate some of the link building and save time http://www.makeithappeninc.com/ has some good info. But there is also nothing wrong with getting recommendation through friends if they are quality leads. Trust me my friends can only hurt me. Good luck |

You already have a few clients, so it is easier to get more because you already have references.
Ask you clients for recommendations and also to write reviews and place it on your web site. Are your existing clients in the same industry or in different industries. In the beginning it is always better if you focus on specific industries; you will learn how they operate, their challenges, opportunities and other insights that will help you design better programs for them. Another question to ask is; which type of client did you like to work with and why. From this experience you know what client to look for. The next step is to promote your business face to face (local) and online. Face to face can be done through the Chamber of Commerce, attend networking events or just visit businesses in you area. Online; get a list of businesses that you want to focus on, google the keyword like "car towing anycity", you will get a listing of all the car towing companies in that city. Check each listing out, are they listed in Google Places, is the web site optimized for Keywords, Title, Heading and Description, in short an SEO audit Do a search on Google Insight to see if many people are searching for the keyword car towing in that specific city or area. Many people are now searching on their smart phone, so make a Test Site that is Mobile Friendly. Once you have this, send out an email to the top 10 companies with images of your test site with search statistics. Show them the before and after and also mention in the email that you will only work with one company from that list (you should not work with a competitor within a radius of let's say 5 - 10 miles) Follow up after two days, and go from there. By doing it online you are not restricted to only work in your area. Hope this helps Victor Rampen |
