why am i getting weird requests?

this has now happened a few times within the last few weeks. I am currently signed on on facebook on my laptop and have it open in the background, so i can see the (1) when i have a notification. I just got a freidn request off a profile - literally recieved it in the same minute they created their profile and added their profile picture. i declined the previous few requests from these similar profiles which had just been created but i am confused as to why i am recieving them

Are they spam or is someone i don't know, or don't know well enough to have on my facebook trying to get some information? Either way I won't be accepting

Facebook is giving friend suggestions to new users based on somethings. I think your name listed in that suggestions.

u will be a friend suggestion to them but if your not going to accept there's nothing to worry about, if need be report their request as u don't know them or block them
