Facebook friend request - Confirm or "not now"?
I don't even know these people directly (they are friends/family of a classmate I recently added). If I click on "not now"..what message do they get? I don't want to be rude as well.

"not now" due to you not knowing who they are..... For the message just put "im sorry ... I do not know you.... Sorry for the inconvenience

Facebook can (and will if they catch you) suspend your account for adding people as friends that you don't actually know. If you click "Not Now" they don't get any message--you just don't become a friend.

uf you dont know these people very well and isnt your real friends then you dont need to add or accept their friends requests to be their friends. you gotta be careful who you end up adding onto your facebook because there are many weirdos that can hack you or just not talk to you when you do add them i have people like that on mind and i just remove them or block them because they dont chat with me or talk to me so that not real friends . anyways. if you do change your mind to be friends with strangers you had added them you can remove them by going to their timeline profile and click on where says friends on their right side on their where says friends can click that scroll down click unfriend? there means that you had removed her or him and they dont get notice til they do try to go to your timeline profile . you should really think straight before you do add someone else. . you should only add people you really knows you and who you really know like family members. closer friends childhood friends. coworkers.that all dont add a strangers . that why facebook team want everyone be careful being on there . plus i giving notices that sometimes when you add unfriendly person that she or he can put and says means stuffs on your wall without asking you first and things goes bad and only way to fix the problem is not to add anyone who is new and doesnt know who you are. if you looking for a nice new friends to be friend that you should think about before you planning to be friend with. they have to be trusted. and wont make any trouble. . as classmates i dont know if you have friends who is in your classes and really your friends that fine but otherwise when if you see a request a friend from anyone unknown and click on not now means that you arent already to add she or he onto your lists. they dont get notice message til you accept added them . if you click confirm means they will see it that you accept them as friends. sometimes facebook will sent you a small message saying do you know this person from outside ? if you click on no! means that they will block the person not to sent anymore messages and friends requests to you no longer.

If you click on "NOT NOW" button on a Facebook friend request, NO message will be sent to the sender, however they will be shown a message saying "FRIEND REQUEST PENDING". And this message will only be shown to them once they view your profile specifically.

You don't have to worry about being rude or something ... They will not even know!!

Keep Smiling!
