Would this be illegal/against the law or not?
I got into an argument with some girl i don't know that lives around my area on facebook. I told her if i ever saw her i was going to break her twig neck. I said this because she was calling me a terrible names, and being very mean. I'm not allowed to post the things she was saying because they were too profain. She also continued talking to me,so wouldn't that invalidate her going to the police and saying i "threatened" her or "she felt threatened" Because you are not supposed to,and it wouldn't make sense to, keep talking to someone if you felt threatened.

You're not supposed to threaten people, either in person, or via social media. Threats are threats. She's well within her rights to go to the police, and you could get into serious trouble for this.

If she's been calling you names, it doesn't mean that you should respond in the same way. I hope you've kept the posts where she's called you names, so that if you do get into legal trouble you can show that you were both involved. This is called bullying, whether it's name calling, or threats. Learn from this, and DON'T DO IT AGAIN!!!

Facebook is just about non-stop drama and trouble, isn't it? As a way to socialize, it is rather incomplete, a poor substitute for interpersonal interaction because there is too much room for misinterpretation. I mean, The stupid bi*ch would probably never have said the things she did in a real face to face, one on one situation where she would be able to tell that you really meant it when you said you'd snap her neck. See, you wouldn't even have needed to say the words if you had been face to face, you could have conveyed the message with your eyes, then what could she do? Tell the police that you made scary eyes at her? You are better off without fakebook. Farcebook.
