How to get a lot of followers on twitter.?

My friend needs followers on twitter for a marketing project at his school! He goes to Virginia Tech.
I've already tweeted, texted, and snapchatted all of my friends And told them to follow him, I was able to get several people following him. Whoever gets the most followers in his class wins....or something like that. Please help!

There is a site called Twiends. You can get lots of follows fast and free but they are all garbage followers and will unfollow quickly. It is based on a point system you get so many points a day and more if you follow others. When others follow you, you spend the points. Good to boost up the look of your account as far as popularity on the surface.

In order to gain more followers your friend has to tweet more often and follow more people. Unless he instantly becomes a celebrity he will not gain followers as fast as you think. A lot of people on Twitter want to follow someone that's online often and tweets interesting things such as quotes, facts or even just being funny and having a great sense of humor. It takes a lot of work to gain many followers. If your friend isn't online for a couple of days and doesn't follow many people back he will lose followers.
