I was on facebook writing to this guy from HS, his girlfriend was responding to her wall posts from me...?

This guy was a senior during my freshman year and he obviously liked me back then. A couple months ago when I went to the place he lives at for vacation, I messaged him and asked him about coming by his work to visit him or something at the weekend job he had back then. He writes back saying "I don't think my girlfriend would be really comfortable with you just visiting me but if you'd like to stop by and say hi for a burger that's totally cool. Have a good trip!"


Recently I wrote on his facebook wall and asked... "hey how've you been? anything new since I last talked to you? still working at the burger joint?"

he never wrote back but his girlfriend writes back, "not that place anymore <my name>, he's working in forensic medicine. what changed since you saw him?"

I wrote back "just getting through my first year of college"

then his girlfriend writes back "and you wanted to know because...?"

I wrote back "oh just curious, we all change our minds from time to time. i myself have new career plans since i last saw him"

then I get a write-back from her "oh ok cool, good luck with that"

could his girlfriend have been trying to send some kind of message to me by responding to my wall posts to him in the way she did?
