How do I get more followers on instagram?

I recently got a new expensive camera and am posting my favourite pictures on instagram. I think they are pretty good but I have no way to get people to follow me. I don't have a ton of friends so sharing them to facebook doesn't help much. I currently have like 12 followers and that number isn't growing. If you want to follow me or look at my pictures my username is @kgurratnits. Oh and I don't want to buy or simply add fake ones on a website.
