How do you delete chats on facebook?

Anything that goes through facebooks servers you no longer own. Deleting things from facebook is practically impossible.

Go into messages, find the one you want and open the 'options' tab at the top of the page. You can delete it from there

Go to the Conversation Action than Delete Messages Or if you Want to Get Rid of the Entire Thing Delete Conversation

Click Messages on the left side of your homepage
Open the conversation you want to delete a message from
From the Actions menu, click Delete Messages...
Use the checkboxes to select what messages you want to delete
Click Delete
