i just logged into facebook,and I couldnot get in my password would not go through?

i just logged into facebook,and I couldnot get in my password would not go through?
as of august 20th ive had to change it because of a hacker,they asked for my password so I typed it in and it didn't work,i tried to reset it and did not get the code they claimed they sent I have no spam or trash theyre both empty.is facebook going berserk??

Nothing great problem you have to go to forgot my password then follow the steps and then they'll email you a link that will reset you password

You are HACKED period.

Nobody, be it any social website or Email provider or you Bank asks you for password in areas other than the login (or secure areas). If someone asks you in pages/links apart from these do not provide it.

Now few things that you can try are (I seriously doubt if it would be of any use now)
1. Try logging into Facebook. Use the forgot password option and reset your password. (use a combination if small, caps, numerals and symbols for your password). Make it a practice and go for passwords greater than 8 characters.
2. If your shared your facebook password with your email account or any other site, change it as soon as you can. (Use a different password for all).

If you are not able to reset your facebook password, forget your account. Create a new account and report the issue with Facebook.
