What types of things use data on my IPhone 5?

I just bought my iPhone and my sister and I are only sharing 2 gigs. We have verizon share everything plan. I know some apps use the Internet but will playing my games use my data even if the don't use the Internet. Like boggle or Tetris things like that. I know I can play those games on my itouch without Internet access. Also just other things that will eat it up. I have turned off cellular data until I actually need to use it so it doesnt use up my data. Just a list of things that use cellular data on my phone would be nice.

Any app that needs internet access to work (News, Starbucks, shopping apps, Major League sports teams, college apps, etc)
