it was the Majority of the American People, who voted for President Barack Obama. It was time for a change.

You need to accept and move on.

He was the first candidate ever to see the potential of internet and he used the full potential of this medium.
Most of his campaigns financial support came through the internet.

The internet played a huge part in helping Obama win the election. The outreach, recruitment of the younger generation, massive distribution and accessibility did a lot.

The social media probably helped him best by down-grading him, discounting him and negative coverage, which spurred many to look at him and listen to him more closely.

he was the first president to really use the technology to his advantage.I know that on his website you could sign up to get text messages with updatest from the campaign. I signed up for that so I could know who he chose as his running mate back in august. He also sent out regular emails to people on his mailing list, and I was on it and it was clever because in the "sender" line, it always said "Barack Obama" or "Michelle Obama" so it was kind of like a personal email from them. I thought it was neat. here is his main web site:

He also had many face book groups that you could join, in support OR against him. I think that in general he really involved younger people in the election which was great.

I don't know exactly, but he did for the internet when it comes to campaigning what Kennedy did for TV campaigning. It will be an integral part of campaigns from now on.

Not much, I think people just didn't want another Republican in the white house.

Well the social media was all on his side of course. As well as Hollywood, teachers and college professors. He brilliantly used the internet and other technology to his advantage. Email...text messages...website was outstanding. I didn't vote for him or agree with his policies but he ran the best campaign I have ever seen.
