If I add someone to my close friends list on facebook, do they know I added them?

Will they see all the news from all my friends even if they are no their friends... like what happens in Group lists?

If you add somebody to your close friend list, then they won't know.
No one is going to know apart from you.

It only means that you're going to see everything they post in your notifications!
It's sort of like, you know, stalking? Haha! But that is all it means.
You get notifications of everything that person posts/updates. (Only pictures and statuses, and profile photo changes!)

It's quite fun and useful.
