How come people that are not your friends on Facebook can see your statues?
My Facebook statues are never public and are either customised or freinds, but a family member who I don't get along with very well who doesn't have me as a friend on Facebook had a look at my profile and was able to view most things I had on my wall. How do I hide things on my wall from the public??? Please help

like you said he is your family member so it's possible that he is using someone's family member fb account just to check your status. . And make sure - #Account setting > privacy (3rd option on left side) > "Who can see your future posts?" = set it to specific people or custom.

You can do this, when you start writing a status, by clicking the drop down menu just to the "post" button and selecting "Custom." You can then type the name of the person or persons you wish to hide the post from, in the area that says "Do not share this post with:"

You can try the following steps: in the Privacy settings check out "Who can see my stuff? - Who can see your future posts?" options. Your friends will not be able see the new posts. And as for the old posts, you will have to hide them manually.

Most of the users can see your status if your profile is visible to all. So first you need to restrict your profile only to your friends and family members added in your list. Check out your account settings.
