why do people say amen to that person?
Alot of people are writing status on facebook and people comment saying amen to that friend (we are English) but i don't understand why they say it?

amen means yes, some see it as more assertive or more deeply felt

"Amen to" something is to strongly agree with it, or to give it your approval or "blessing."
After a prayer is means "so be it" So, to say "amen to Mr. Smith" is saying you wholeheartedly agree with what Mr. Smith said or is all about. |

" -amen " is the 1st person plural aorist ( past tense ) verb ending that indicates an acomplished action .
After a prayer it indicates " We finished ". Amen to that person means we ( have ) finished with that person. |
