I haven't talked to this friend I've known since 9th grade for a long time. She recently put a smiley face on my facebook wall. I replied, but she never answered. I know that everyone is not glued to FB, believe me I'm not... but I really miss talking to her since we have no classes together.

Do you think she'll like it if I send her a direct message on Instagram of my number written down on paper & the caption saying: "Text me sometime. Got a new phone recently, & I miss talking to you." Or is that TOO direct? THanks!

That's not to direct. If I were her I'd think that is cute bc you're making the effort to begin talking to her again. A lot of boys/girls don't do that
