What is the best way for a young Artist to market himself and his art?
I have created my Etsy shop a little over 2 weeks ago. I have had 2 sale (1 stranger, 1 friend), 843 views, and 26 favorites. I am an Up and coming artist trying to sell my prints. I offer 3 different sizes, each with a standered price. I have bought 500 Business card to promote my shop. I have created a Facebook fan page to connect with fans and offer coupons. I have established an Instagram Art Gallery to bring more attention to my art. I did this all in hopes of increasing sales. I have paid for Etsy ads, Google ads, and Facebook ads with no success. I have put a lot of time into this because i am passionate about my art. I would love some guidance and tips on how to get views and increase sales. Please help.

If I was you, I'd create a profile on every site out there to get recognised. Like DeviantArt, behance, and even facebook and twitter can help with becoming recognised. Go into galleries, or places that sell art. With your style, try tattoo shops. I know a tattoo shop in my area, they sell clothes and art alongside it. Go in with your business card, and your portfolio and try to convince them to think about taking in your work. Having just looked at your work, is it possible to perhaps improve the not so good quality ones, by maybe improving it further digitally? I think digital illustrations give them a finish which can't be achieved using pencils and pens freehand. That's just my opinion though! This is advice from an older graduate that I had a conversation with. Sorry if this isn't much help, I wish you all the best. Hang in there! The beginning is always hard, I'm sure things will pick up and your work will sell. Smile I really like your drawings though, they are full of imagination! If I wasn't so poor, I'd buy a few. Smile

Vendgenie.com another marketplace similar to Etsy where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goods. Our mission is to re-imagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.
