>>> WASHINGTON (AP) - "Obama Signs $1.1 Trillion Government Spending Bill, It funds every agency of the federal government and also scales back automatic spending cuts"
>>> Examiner.com - "Obama’s federal employment also increased from 2008 through 2011, the last year for which statistics were available. In 2011, there were 4,403,000 federal workers, an increase of 197,000 from 2008."

Discretionary spending?
Obama and lawmakers have yet to tackle the growth in spending on entitlements. $17 trillion in debt now exceeds the entire nation's GDP performance. One thing that libs intentionally ignore is that the single element that is causing the discretionary spending to decrease is the 2011 Budget Control Act which forces by law a lowering of discretionary spending. The Act was legislated by the GOP house as soon as they gained control. Obama signed it as a political move as he was then getting tagged as the debt monster. Now the dems are trying to reduce or ignore the spending restrictions because of their entitlement spending has shot through the roof as most addictions do.

And you were saying? Thumb down? Geeee, give you facts as reported by the mainstream media who can't duck from it and you still thumb down? Is that called political reality hopeless?

Defending obama requires lying and spinning

that is why it is so easy for headline readers

and msnbc lovers to blindly follow

this administration

Facts mean nothing to sheep

President Franklin D. Roosevelt - President Roosevelt increased the debt the most percentage-wise. Although he only added $236 billion, this was more than a 1,000% increase over the $23 billion debt level left by President Hoover's last budget. Of course, the Great Depression took a huge bite out of revenues. However, most of the debt was added to gear up for World War II, not to pay for the New Deal. In fact, $209 billion alone was added to the debt between 1942-1945.

President Barack Obama - The second largest contributor to the debt dollar-wise was President Obama. He added $4.8 trillion, a 41% increase, in just one term

That depends on who is doing the spending.

The government discretionary spending has gone WAY up, and the American people's discretionary spending has gone down.

You mean under the Republican house? I suppose if you repeat this deception enough, you might get a voter or two.

It has not increased and it compares well. You will have to read this article and pay attention to the graphs.
