Getting rid of timeline on Facebook?

When i signed into Facebook it said that I had been changed to timeline.
I know that it used to be optional but have they made it so that you have to have it now?
Ive heard of apps to get rid of timeline but I don't want to download anything to my computer because I don't want to get a virus and don't always trust these websites. Also I have a mac and i know that you can't always download the same programs.
Is it still possible to remove it?
Are there any Facebook apps to remove it that i don't have to download onto my computer? If so what are some?

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

There are no such apps to get rid of the timeline. Any web site that says they do, is a scam.

The FB Timeline is an internal framework that cannot be changed whatsoever, unless you're a developer for Facebook and you are in a position of authority. ^_~
