How do you "follow hashtag" and the i.d.?
I don't know what it means, but apparently you can follow something from my soap opera if I do that. So how do I do that? LOL

A hashtag (#) is on Twitter.

An i.d. (@XXX) is a Twitter account's address.

By going to the id, for example, @soapopera that your soap indicates, you'll be able to follow them. This means you'll receive their tweets on your timeline (on your Twitter account) and all what they retweet (something somebody else tweeted that they forward to their followers). You can use the id to send them tweets to or to answer some of theirs.

A hashtag is used to rally everyone's comments on one subject so people can see what's being said. Example of a tweet with a hashtag.
"I had fun watching this week's episode of @SoapOperaX and damn it was epic! #CrashedWedding."

Twitter will recognize your tweet and put it on the timeline of that hashtag so everyone will be able to read it, plus all other tweets that contains the same hashtag. However, hashtags are often used to express a feeling or to add information to a tweet, without it being meant for hashtag timeline, example:
"I'm so pissed at people misdriving! #Morons."

If you click on any hashtag, Twitter will take you the world timeline of that hashtag and you'll be able to read all the tweets containing it. Voilà.
