Facebook question on searching?

So on facebook when I search for this person she doesn't show up. I know that normally this would mean that she blocked me, but I'm sure that isn't the case because we don't even really know each other or anything like that...I can, however, find her when I search a friend's friends list that she's friends with. How does that work? Is there some kind of privacy setting that governs who can search for you? What does she most likely have it set to?

There's a privacy setting in facebook whereby one can allow either everyone or friends to be able to search them. So, most likely she set it to friends or something like that.
