Facebook privacy question?

I recently broke up with my ex girlfriend. We are still friends on facebook.. When I look at our mutual friends, i see that one of my friends who met her through me is not on her mutual friends, but on my friend's facebook, they are actually friends. How come my friend is not coming out on mutual friends, but is actually friends with her? Is there a privacy setting that does this? I didn't think there was... and neither of us blocked eachother. We are still friends, can see wall/photo/etc.
ust found out what it was. it didnt have to do with her, but its like that when the person (my friend) has the option of not showing his friends list to others. My profile is like that also, so from his perspective, i wasn't a mutual friend to her either.
