Opinions/advice on a guy?

Awhile ago-- like 4-5 weeks approx. a friend of mine messaged me to ask if I needed a ride home(at the time he went to college for a year so he didn't go to school) I told him I had a ride already so he told me if I ever need a ride in the future to just let him know and he'll drive me home, but I'm just thinking back to it because I didn't give it much thought, and I was thinking if it meant something more, or if he was just being generous and thoughtful. We still talk over Facebook chat and texting. So does it mean something more or is it just a caring act he thought of?
