Who is being "bullied" via social media?
To clarify: I am not being bullied, but I'm curious about people who feel that they're being bullied online whether it's facebook, email, texting etc. I'm unclear on how it works - can't you just block/deny/delete? How has online bullying affected you personally and what have you tried to do about it? Did you find a solution?

It has effected me personally. I was 'bullied' at school by these 2 girls and it did carry onto MSN/Facebook. I reacted to what they said and tried to defend myself. If they said I was an 'ugly emo' or something I'd just say 'You can talk' to defend myself which I know wasn't very nice but I wanted them to just leave me alone. In the end I blocked them from everything and refused their friend requests. I tried telling people at school but it didn't really work so I avoided them.

Yeah, you only block/ deny/ delete the person AFTER they have offended you or bullied you. So you may have accepted a randomer or a friend and then got into some debate or arguement that esculated. Then the person could get their other friends to add and bully you, so on.

With texting there is no body language involved so someone could be acting sarcastic or ironic but the reciever doesn't get that because they don't see a facial expression or hear a tone of voice. there for resulting in them feeling like they have been insulted E.g. Text: "Yeah 'cause I hate spending my weekend with my best friend! x" That could be sacasm; the person might not get that.

AD's on social media for things such as weight loss. A fat person may feel pressured by this. Or other people may seem cooler or funner on their profile. Some people may have more friends than you or someone might add your friend but not you resulting in you feeling like they didn't want to add you. ETC.

You catching my drift??

xx

Christians, lately.

Online bullying can take the form of stalking, threatening, harassing, posting nude or provocative pictures, posting lies.
