How to change facebooks privacy settings?

I need to change the privacy settings on facebook of who can view my photos, likes and wall, I dont want to allow strangers to be able to view this, is it possible and how in a step by step guide

To get to your privacy settings, click the account menu and it has an arrow pointing down at the top right of any Facebook page, and choose Privacy Settings. This page contains a group of general controls for your Facebook account, such as who can send you friend requests and messages. For everything else that you share on Facebook, you can choose your audience right when you post.
