What does this mean as a marketing plan?
So this guy is explaining a marketing plan for GM volt because they have been loosing money as we all know. but i do not get it what does he mean by a relationship with facebook. how can they help

I'm sure the Facebook leadership team values and understands the category. Seems pretty simple to me, and the amount being spent is minuscule as a percent of total measured media."

The link is to the website of Autonews, an auto industry magazine, and consists of a former GM executive giving marketing advice to GM. Facebook and other internet social media are simply part of any corporate marketing plan in today's world. All companies do social media marketing.

Volt is definitely not losing money. The Reuters news article that proclaimed Volt's losses made some very basic accounting errors. Developments costs of a car are typically amortized over the lifetime of a vehicle, not simply one year. Any car would look stupidly unprofitable if you did that. A rebuttal of the Reuter's article by another former GM executive is below:
