Raise taxes or let old people go poor, get sick, and die without Social Security and Medicare?
Republicans are always trying to rob senior citizens of Medicare and Social Security to pay for more tax cuts for the rich, so what if they got their wish with the Romney/Ryan plan. Would America still be a great nation if millions of old people were left out on the streets to fend for themselves without the basic safety net Medicare and Social Security provide? Is it realistic expect the elderly to compete in a technologically complex job market when they barely know how to use a cell phone?

I hear tell they've been trying since the 50's to shut down as much as possible for the people, the tax payers of this country.

If people work hard and save they won't be poor, if they don't they will die, and I will not be bailing them out with my hard earned money.

Get your facts straight please. Under Bush the Republicans gave everyone a tax cut! Under the Ryan plan he would not eliminate Medicare. It would still be there for people who wanted to be in that plan. Same goes for Social Security.

Since O'Bama has made grandma decide between food or medicine because he took $700 billion from Medicare to pay for BDF O'Bamacare it would appear that Democrats are the ones trying to rob senior citizens of Medicare! The Romney/Ryan plan puts that money back!

Since O'Bama and the Democrats have no plan to save social security it would be them who want to rob seniors of their social security!

Even without Medicare and Social Security, elderly Americans will benefit along with the rest of us from the prosperity that will trickle down thanks to lower taxes on the rich.

Lol is this a joke?? Obama just robbed over 700 billion from medicare to pay for Obamacare, the Ryan plan puts it back and leaves medicare the same for people over 55. It had to be restructured for people younger than that or its sure as hell not gonna be there for them.

Actually consider how many ways were screwed...Kicked out of a healthcare plan, cause you're a poor risk..Denied for preexisting ailment..
No Charity Hospitals..no social security..no Pension..Laid-off..Forced early retirement(corporate raider)
401k is now a 201k..CDO, home mortgage manipulated into bankruptcy..
You can't afford to send your child to college,..or a competent school..
You cant afford prescription drugs..
still have a few Fema trailers they're goin fast..

You worked for 30 odd years for a company only to be pushed out,..and your pension, and 401k raped with the likes of a Bain Capital, corporate raider
