Why do so many people especially women have unrealistically high standards these days?

I have noticed that ever since social media took off, girls especially have insanely high standards. Guys that are average all want girls with big tits, big butts, nice hair, but not a slut. Girls that work a minimum wage job want a software engineer as a boyfriend who is outgoing, nice, funny and romantic. It is honestly getting ridiculous.

Tbh, I think girls have lower standards than guys, 'cos a lot of girls are just desperate. But you hit the nail on the head, it's the media.

u know nothing.... making a girl laugh is probably the most important thing that a girl wishes for... im just saying in general.. not for sluts u know... sure looks count but to some degree, obviously u need to treat her nicely... but it isnt much to ask for...
