Acknowledgement Problems?!?

I've been dating my bf for a couple months now. He's a very attractive guy who's also a MMA fighter and will be going pro 2014. I've broke up with him the simple fact at the time I felt like he didn't want social media sites to know he was in a relationship. Like Instagram, Facebook etc and the fact he couldn't acknowledge me. It's ok if his family knows and let him tell it (only the important people know we are together) But I feel as thou if a man really loves you then he'll let the whole world knows who he's went etc. Around Christmas I did break up with him because I wasn't feeling acknowledge the way I wanted and we was growing distant He did text me on Christmas and telling me he wanted me back, how sorry he was and he would work on things. I would envy when my guy friends post pics on IG with their gf because I wanted that and I didn't mind doing that but he did. I still feel as though he want to maintain that single image on sites for his female "fans". What do you think?!
