Should schools fail students based on their popularity rather than grades?

You're view of life is so unrealistic its ridiculous. The 'popular' kids in high school, sure they APPEAR to be more confident, but that's only because they feed off the attention they get when they're being an idiot to the unpopular kids. Apparently you've never done this, but if you watch those popular kids when their friends aren't around, they look so lost and out of place, because there's no one their to give them the attention they crave.

When those kids, graduate from school, they're in for a real shock, because the real world doesn't work that way. Those kids who get straight A's and do well, they're the ones that thrive outside of the school world. They invent Facebook and Microsoft, they end up living comfortably, with TRUE friends, a wife and kids. Those who were 'popular' don't end up with much more than memories and wishes, because they realise too late that being a bully and an idiot in school, will lead you no where.

Those A's you got will lead you into a world of possibilities that those other kids won't. Why do you think that parents are always pushing their kids to do well in school? Why are those kids who were picked on in school now CEO's and billionaires?

Employers choose their employees, based not on "the mentality of aggressively making money and destroying corporate competitors". They choose their employees, based on the credentials they earned from school and teritary education.

Do you think that a popular kid who has D's, would end up in University's like Harvard or Oxford or any University at all?? It's those kids, who get A's and really try hard, because they are more aware of what the real world has to offer and that school is only a small part of a long life. They realise that by making a small sacrifice while in school, they will thrive and prosper in the real world, because that is where you make you mark on history.

I have never met someone who feels this way o.o
If you are an A student, then you're going to graduate and get a heaps good job in the future.
Besides, if you're unpopular now in your school, you'll be famous around the world if you do something that requires your knowledge, like inventing something or getting a cure for cancer or something.
I'm not popular and I still can follow fads and trends.
That straight D student may be more confident then you, but he's also more stupid. Sure, he'll get a job. A lousy job. (No offense to people who has gotten a D)
